With examination round the corner, the CBSE will offer counselling to students through a telephone helpline for two months beginning this Friday.As many as 42 teachers, psychologists and social scientists will operate the helpline individually from 13 centres including Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Bhubhaneswar, Vishakapatnam and Coimbatore.
New centres have been set up in Yemen and Sharjah, taking the total number of such centres abroad to five, a CBSE release said today.
For better accessibility and convenience, the centres have been arranged state-wise and students were advised to avail the facility nearer to their location.Besides tele-counselling, CBSE is also offering counselling through a multi-tier system in order to enable more and more examinees to avail the facility of counselling reaching out to students in far flung areas, the release said.
An Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), question and answers columns in newspapers and online counselling is also arranged, it said.

I appeared for the 12th CBSE board exams in 2007 but unfortunately got compartment for failing in my physics theory. Physics is a subject I’m terribly weak in. I appeared for the first compartment the same year in September but received compartment again. I appeared for the 2nd attempt in March 2008 but again didn’t make it. I am now applying for my 3rd compartment, but since I am a private candidate and am not attached to any school anymore. I am not sure as to how I should proceed to apply. Please guide me. Also, it is said that the next compartment is to be held in September this year itself. I would like to know if it would be possible for me to take the exam in march 2009 to be sure I am fully prepared, as for the last 3 exams I had not been due to family problems. Sir , I have given my C.B.S.E(AISSCE) class 12 examination in the month
of March,2008.Unfortunately when the results came out in May 22nd,
i learnt that i have a compartment in chem and maths . i had 6 subjects . The day i received the marksheet
i had sent it for a review the day i received it , but it was dismissed because it reached
the head office late . So i had to give my comptt. examination and
cleared mathematics. Now the C.B.S.E has decleared me passed .But i
have not received the Marksheet yet. According to C.B.S.E
chemistry(marks obtained 36 FT) is my 6th subject based upon the best of
five subjects
SO my Subjects are hereby:
1) English -> 72
2) Mathematics -> 50
3) Physics -> 48
4) Computer -> 48
5) Ph Education -> 73

Today i.e. 14.07.2009 I want to admit in B.A. LLB. (5 years) in M.D. University Rohatak Haryana.
The office bearer of the said college perused of my mark sheet told you are unable to admit in your college BA. LLB. due to less precentage of .8%.

sir,i passed the exam of 12th class in2009 my rollno.5766681 and i fill the improment form in 2009 for the examination of2010 my rollno.5788025 but my marks not improved then i fill the improment form for in 2010 but i d”nt give 2010 improment marksheet then he give me a letter of my mistake in nov 8. 11.2010 refno.. cbse/ru/Aud/exam/gr4-2010dated 8.11.2010 then i give the improment marks sheet with sorry aplication and send in nov.22.2010in regionaloffice c.b.se allahabad but he did not give my admit card then what can i do sir plezzzz tell me sir its urgent plessssss plese consider my case sympathetically my phone no. 9410186378

sir, in 12 i had 6 subjects, physics, chemistry, maths, english, physical education and music. In boards I got failed in Maths. But i dont want to give compartment for maths and want to take an arts subject in college, so am i eligible to take admission with all those 5 subjects excepting maths…….. my percentage without including maths is 70.01.

Dear Student,
If your cut off mark is only 5 -7 marks lesser than current year cut off, then prepare harder. If still less then try in different institutions offering your preferred subject. Otherwise join a subject based on your psychometry assessment for Academic Interest & Vocational Suitability.
