Southeren Railway runs special train for Diwali and Ramzan

The Southern Railway will run special trains between Chennai and Nagercoil, Tuticorin, Madurai and Coimbatore to clear extra rush of passengers in connection with Deepavali/Ramzan festivals.

Chennai Egmore — Nagercoil: Train no. 0617 will leave Egmore at 23.00 hours on October 18 and reach Nagercoil at 14.00 hrs the next day. In the return direction, train no. 0618 will leave Nagercoil at 19.40 hours on October 19 and arrive at Egmore at 09.00 hours the next day.

Train no. 0615 will leave Egmore at 19.00 hours on October 19 and reach Nagercoil at 08.15 hours the next day.

In the return direction, train no. 0620 will leave Nagercoil at 20.30 hours on October 24 and arrive at Egmore at 09.30 hours the next day; Train no. 0616 will leave Nagercoil at 19.40 hours on October 22 and arrive at Egmore at 09.00 hours the next day. In the return direction train no. 0619 will leave Egmore at 20.30 hours on October 23 and arrive at Nagercoil at 10.45 hours the next day. Train no. 0613 will leave Egmore at 19.00 hours on October 23 and arrive at Nagercoil at 08.15 hours the next day. In the opposite direction train no. 0614 will leave Nagercoil at 13.30 hours on October 24 and arrive at Egmore at 04.30 hours the next day.

The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi and Tirunelveli.Chennai Egmore – Tuticorin: Train no. 0603 will leave Egmore at 20.00 hours on October 20 and reach Tuticorin at 08.00 hours the next day. In the return direction train no. 0622 will leave Tuticorin at 21.00 hours on October 24 and arrive at Egmore at 09.00 hours the next day; Train no. 0604 will leave Tuticorin at 21.30 hours on October 22 and arrive Egmore at 09.30 hours the next day. In the return direction train no. 0621 will leave Egmore at 17.00 hours on October 23 and reach Tuticorin at 05.30 hours the next day.

 

Superfast

Chennai Egmore – Madurai superfast day specials: Train No. 0685 will leave Egmore at 10.00 hours on October 19 and arrive at Madurai at 17.30 hours the same day. Train no.0686 will leave Madurai at 09.00 hours on October 20 and arrive at Egmore at 16.30 hours the same day. Train no. 0681 will leave Egmore at 10.00 hours on October 20 and arrive at Madurai at 17.30 hours the same day.

In the opposite direction train no.0682 will leave Madurai at 23.00 hours on October 24 and arrive at Egmore at 10.00 hours the next day.

The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchirappalli and Dindigul. Train nos. 0682 and 0686 will stop at Mambalam also.

Chennai Central – Coimbatore superfast specials: Train no. 0627 will leave Chennai Central at 22.20 hours on October 19 and 23 and arrive at Coimbatore at 07.15 hours the next day. In the return direction train no. 0628 will leave Coimbatore at 23.45 hours on October 22 and 24 and arrive at Central at 08.00 hours the next day.

The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur. Train no. 0628 will stop at Perambur also.
