Hey Coimbatorians, one more relaxation (apart from VOC park) and fun place to spend some time with family and friends is the Maharaja theme park located close to Neelambuur bye-pass on the Coimbatore-Salem national highway. It will be opening on Feb 26th.
As the holiday season is just about to begin and the summer ( atleast that’s how it feels like) has already started people can take a break from their daily schedule and spend some time as its just 12KM from the city.
The park has come up on a 15-acre site and in line with international trends. The project promoters have tried to make it a compact one. An attempt has been made to replicate the most attractive features of the theme parks from not only within India but also from outside without losing sight of the fact that these should provide an affordable experience to the public. He said the park, apart from having the common entertainment facilities, would have a multiplex with two theatres. It would also house a mini golf course and an auditorium.
The entry fee is Rs 350 for adults and Rs 300 for children.
A proposal to charge a discounted entry fee from school children visiting as a group during weekdays is also in consideration.
