Students who have written their Higher Secondary examinations in March can apply for photocopies of their answer scripts and also for re-totalling of their marks.A release from the Department of Government Examinations said that answer script copies would be provided only for physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology and biology. Separate applications were necessary for each subject.
Application forms were available at
- The Directorate of Government Examinations at Chennai
- Regional Deputy Directorate of Government Examinations at Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Cuddalore and Vellore
- Offices of Chief Educational Officers
- Offices of District Educational Officers and
- Office of the Joint Director (Education) at Pondicherry.
Applications were available on payment of Rs. 275 a subject for answer script photocopies. Those who intended to apply for revaluation in the six specified subjects should obtain photocopies of the answer scripts.Candidates could apply for re-totalling of marks in any subject for which they had appeared. Those who had applied for copies of the answer script in any of the six subjects did not need to apply for re-totalling at the same time.
They could apply either for revaluation or re-totalling after getting the answer script copies. Separate applications should be submitted for each subject.
The fee for re-totalling was as follows: Part-I (Language), Part-II (English) and biology: Rs. 305 for each subject.
For all other subjects, the fee was Rs. 205 for each subject.
Candidates should pay the fees through a demand draft or banker’s cheque obtained from any nationalised bank, drawn in favour of the Director of Government Examinations, Chennai-6, and payable at Chennai. They should mention his or her name, register number and subject on the reverse of the demand draft or banker’s cheque.Students applying for more than a subject could obtain a single demand draft.
Separate demand drafts were needed for copies and re-totalling. Completed applications should be handed over at one of the above offices in person and acknowledgement obtained. Application forms would be distributed till May 26. The deadline for submission of completed forms was 5.45 p.m. on May 26.
