Oxford Bookstore, a leading book selling chain in the country, opened its outlet in the city.
The bookstore, the 12th in the chain, has more than 25,000 titles in 45 categories of Indian and international publishers, Rajiv Chowdhry, CEO, Apeejay Oxford Bookstores, told reporters here.
Besides the popular sections of fiction, literature, travel and cookery, there were well-researched sections dealing with health, yoga, tantra and reiki, he said.
Other important sections include business, Indian writing in English, reference, vernacular and nature in the bookstore set up at an investment of Rs 80 lakh.
The book industry was growing 12 to 15 per cent annually, Rajeev Kamineni, heading the business here, said, adding fiction, travel and cookery books were preferred more by the public.
The bookstore has a ‘Cha Bar’, where the customers can taste 70 different kinds of tea, with separate place for interaction for youths, Rajeev said.
